• BaseWest has relocated to a management-owned facility in Clearwater, FL, just minutes from Tampa International Airport. This new facility includes office, manufacturing, engineering and test facilities as well as additional space to support core business expansion and new product development.
• BaseWest is pleased to announce the appointment of Hansair Inc. as an authorized distributor, strengthening the already strong international representation provided by Avio-Diepen.
• Debbie Conroy has recently joined the BaseWest team as Sales & Marketing Manager. Debbie has a strong background in business to business sales and marketing, including experience in the aviation safety and survival sector. Recent Product & Service Developments

• BaseWest has received USPTO patent-pending on a means to facilitate forensic data retrieval from handheld devices, such as cell phones, that may be confiscated during law enforcement or military field operations. The device, which is readily integrated into compact RFI/EMI-shielded ‘Faraday’ boxes, permits data retrieval by remote manipulation of device controls and keypad while the device remains in an evidence-secure environment. Product development is ongoing.
• Goodrich Corporation recently awarded BaseWest a contract to repair and rebuild the complex electric brake cables for the Boeing 787 aircraft. BaseWest successfully fulfilled the contract in accordance with Goodrich specifications.
• BaseWest has completed contract design and is now providing contract manufacturing services for a family of helmet-mounted lighting devices developed for tactical and SAR missions. These devices are currently deployed with or in evaluation by various Navy Seal and Army Airborne units.
